Finding the easiest ways to save money doesn't have to be a challenge. There are numerous things that you can do every day to help you save a little money. Over time these small things all add up to big savings.

Since we all live in very different circumstances and lifestyles not all the ideas on my, easiest ways to save money, list will be applicable to everyone. You'll need to pick and choose the ideas you find tolerable and implement them to the best of your ability.

  • Keep home cooling cost down by raising the temperature on your thermostat to at least 76 degrees. Most people will find this temperature perfectly comfortable.
  • When you plan to leave for work or be gone for more than 4 hours raise the set the A/C up least 80 degrees, then cool the house down when you return.
  • Bundle your internet, landline telephone, and television service into one package. Annual savings on this one could top $500.
  • Cancel unused health club memberships. A friend just told me he has been a member of the same club for years, but never goes. Cancel it.
  • It seems everyone has a cell phone today so to save money get rid of your landline telephone service. Annual savings of $300 or more.
  • Load your dishwasher full before you even consider running it. Use the short cycles that get the dishes clean and don’t use heat dry.
  • Be vigilant about turning off lights and electrical appliances in unoccupied rooms. Annual savings of $100 or more.
  • When washing cloths, try to always run full loads. If you need to run a small load make sure you adjust the water level to match.
  • Only run window air conditioners in rooms that are occupied. Annual savings of $100 or more.
  • Close central air conditioning vents and doors to unused rooms in the house. Annual savings of $100 or more.
  • When you leave for an extended period of time turn off all unneeded electrical appliances. Annual saving of $100 or more.
  • Taking cloths out the dryer while they are still damp and hanging them up saves energy, money, and time. You’ll reduce the need for ironing.
  • Always keep the lint screen on your cloths dryer clean. It makes the dryer more efficient and effective.
  • To maximize the gas mileage of your automobile make sure you keep it maintained. Inflating tires to their maximum pressure enhances safety and saves gas.
  • Combine trips when you need to drive. This will reduce wear and tear on your car, save gasoline, and save your valuable time.
  • Instead of going to an expensive health club or gym for a workout, try walking you neighborhood or swimming at your local pool. You could save over $300 per year on this one.
  • Brown bag your work lunch whenever possible. It is always cheaper to make food at home than it is to buy it prepared at a restaurant.
  • Always pay off your credit card bill every month to avoid any interest charges. Pay on-time to avoid late fees.

This is just a small list of the easiest ways to save money at home, at work, and on the road.

It's all too easy to get into debt over your head.  

No one enjoys that feeling of stress, anxiety, and fear that can come from having a mountain of debt. Don't lose hope. Getting out of debt is never easy, but it is achievable with a solid plan, and some discipline.
